My End of Year Ritual
This is one of my favourite rituals of the year, a gentle pause to reflect on what has passed and set intentions for what’s ahead. I create space to journal, release what no longer serves me, invite in what I want to welcome, and choose one guiding word for the year. This practice includes journal prompts, a burning ritual, and a moment of mindfulness to step into the new year with clarity and purpose
Honouring the Winter Solstice in Ireland
The Winter Solstice (Grianstad an Gheimhridh) marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, a sacred pause before the light begins to return. In Ireland, this turning point has been celebrated for thousands of years at places like Newgrange, where the rising sun illuminates the ancient passage tomb, symbolizing rebirth and renewal.
